Outside my window sits a tiny planter.
Inside this small garden I am growing- Parsley, Mint, Rosemary and Basil.
I love gardening. Although I know it is more complex then just putting seeds in the earth at times, I relish in the fact at how 'grounding' the practice is (mind the pun).
Even though I live in a small, one bedroom apartment and lack the yard that I ideally want (and am determined to one day have). I can't help but smile at the fact that I am currently growing 'something'. What makes it even more satisfying is that I can also use what I am growing in my cooking. Cooking of course is another one of my favourite past-times. I am definitely a Taurean!
Perhaps I am just an old soul, but people my age don't seem to relish in gardens, flowers and plants the way that I do. My heart sings whenever I catch a whimsical note of floral perfume in the air as I skip by. Gardens are beautiful, I just can't wait to do more and more of it.
Maybe, I'll make some friends with some farmers and old people who delight in pruning their rose bushes and lemon trees! If I wasn't where I was then I'd like to be amongst plants. I'd love to work in a vineyard, or a farm, or a nursery!
